Yacht Australis 2010
On November 13 2010, Doug Stoup leads an intimate sailing adventure to the Antarctic Peninsula upon the Yacht Australis.
This 23-day adventure sets off from Ushuia, at the southern tip of Argentina, and heads across the Drake Passage for a series of stops on the remote Antarctic Peninsula.
Doug and the crew will visit penguin rookeries, stop for multiple ski objectives, and explore the area in depth using Zodiac watercraft. Adventurers will be treated to rare wildlife sightings as they travel through the natural habitat of multple species of whales, birds, penguins, and seals.
The trip will conclude after 22 nights when the ship sails back across the Drake Passage and past the majestic cliffs of Cape Horn to enter port in Ushuaia.
