Firstly, on behalf of the Ice Axe Expeditions team we want to thank you for your patience and support of our company. As a small, independent operator for over 20 years, we really value our passengers.
As you are aware, with the current global situation regarding COVID-19, we are currently dealing with a rapidly evolving situation in unprecedented times. We understand and empathise with the impact this is having on our customers, our employees and the industry, and we are committed to dealing with issues as best we can, as and when situations gain clarity. Our priority is our passenger’s welfare and safety, and our partnerships, and we will seek to do whatever we can to minimize the impact on our past, present and future passengers.
We have taken the following actions and made changes to our cancellation policy for our upcoming Antarctica Adventure Cruise expedition due to the unforeseen circumstances surrounding COVID-19:
All requests for cancellations must be received in writing. Cancellations received by July 15th, 2020 or prior are refunded less an administrative fee of $500 per person. If cancellation is received between 108 and 54 days prior to departure, the deposit is forfeited. Please note that for cancellations received within 54 days prior to departure, all deposits and tariffs are forfeited. If cancellation occurs within the 54-day period and full payment has not yet been received, the full penalty will still apply and unpaid monies are due immediately. For these and other reasons mentioned below, you are strongly encouraged to obtain trip cancellation insurance. Prices quoted are based on group participation and no refunds will be made for any part of the program in which you choose not to participate.
