Thursday March 7th
Clients arrive the afternoon / evening of the 7th and will be responsible for accommodation. We will have an “unofficial welcome gathering” in downtown Sun Valley. Stay tuned for more details as this develops.
Friday, March 8th
On the morning of March 8th, the group will meet and go over the gear and safety checklist. We will discuss our objective for the day and start heading towards the yurt. To access the yurt we will be towed behind a snowmobile for the first 4 miles of the route. Then we will have a two mile backcountry tour, gaining 1800 ft. to the hut with our gear for the weekend.
We will arrive to the yurt, close to lunch-time where we can spend time getting our belongings organized and eat a hot lunch prepared by our yurt team. After lunch, we will spend the rest of the afternoon searching for the best terrain and snow – whether that is steep shots, sheltered slopes or open glades.
We will return before sunset, just in time to see the alpenglow hit the craggy Boulder Mountains from our doorstep. You will have the opportunity to relax and share stories or take advantage of the yurts classic wood fired sauna. That evening we will enjoy an incredible dinner prepared by our yurt team.
Saturday March 9th
The group will wake up around 7 am and the yurt team will prepare a healthy breakfast for our second day of backcountry adventures. The guides will give an orientation to the ski objectives for the day. The Coyote Yurt is the perfect location for our group to explore the Smokeys – with endless powder bowls, steep corn descents, and approachable peaks. On a clear day, we will have panoramic views of the pyramids of the Pioneer Mountains.
After exploring the area we will make our way back to the yurt for our final dinner together. Toasting to new friendships and an amazing adventure, we close out the night looking forward to our final day in this special place. All meals included.
Sunday, March 10th
On our final morning together we enjoy a leisurely breakfast and spend time connecting with our group and sharing stories from the mountains. We will have time to do another short tour in the morning, before we head down to the trailhead. We plan to be back by mid-afternoon and will have enough time for a proper send off and high fives with each other in celebration of a great weekend!
